Bush growing up to a hight of 2.5 m, originating from the Bismarck-Archipel, cultivated in many tropical areas, in altitudes up to 1500 m. The plant has a big, creeping, branched rhizome and lanceolate leaves. The funnel-shaped flowers are spotted yellow.
